Welcome to the Year of the Rat!

While I won't trouble you with ruminations about the state of our union, international affairs, or global warming, I might just muse for a mome about the importance of the arts in a human life.  Creativity is what keeps us alert, laughing, curious, and willing to accept our sometimes mundane, and bottom-line driven lives. I believe that with support and active respect for theatre and fine artists, musicians and dancers, and the technicians and creative teams that coordinate and keep the artistic fields plowed and ready for creative crops to grow, our world will be more and more filled with laughter and the knowing catharsis brought about by the creative arts, and less and less driven by greed, wealth and fear.

Play music, draw pictures, write stories, dance in your living room. Don't be afraid to be creative.  it's worth your time, and you're worthy of it's gifts.  These gifts can bring peace one smile at a time.
